COVID-19 and Blood Chemistry Tests

Today I will be taking a look at blood chemistry tests and COVID-19. I am trying to see associations of the different blood cell types when there is a SARS-COV-2 infection. I am joined with my friend Dr. Earl Tiu as I try to explain my findings to him. The data is sourced from Kaggle, which was originally sampled from Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

At the end of the video, I also reference some studies of patients in China where they also saw some evidence of eosinopenia and leukopenia. However, I acknowledge that more clinical studies over a wider scale would have to be made to clearly establish firm causations. Science works slowly and carefully, as it should. Through the collaboration of experts around the world, I am sure we will find a cure and a vaccine for COVID-19.
